Peter Brabrook RIP
Just heard the sad news on Twitter. Great man, who tried to show me how to play football at Roma Youth in the early 80s.

I think I was at that first game he played for us against Burnley in 1962. I remember this classy winger, very impressive.

Saw him play for the O's a few times at Brisbane Road, left wing with black shiny boots, had a bit of pace if I remember.

Brabrook had a Butchers on Station Rd, called Brabrook's about 100 yards from my School, Forest Gate School. This would have been in the early 80's. Never saw him play, Dad reckons he was good... RIP

Ted that butchers you refer to was the one that Brian Poole's old man owned.

Your right , I remember now.

Re: Peter Brabrook RIP
First time I saw him play at UP, it might have been his debut game, a bloke in the chicken run near us got after him verbally and kept calling him Bradbrook. When the first half ended he came over and said to the bloke "at least get my name right".

Re: Peter Brabrook RIP
Used to watch him in the 60's, running down the wing beating three players then stopping, turning around and beating them again! Brabrook, Byrne and Mooro now missing from my favourites!

To us old boys he was part of probably our best ever team. I spoke to him outside the ground a few years back and he was a really nice bloke. One of us. Very sorry to hear this news. RIP
